Poem for #55

Conjured to my doorstep by witches
I didn’t know I waited for you

The room melted and twisted
The lights spoke to me

As sidewalks danced with lovers
And moss fought wars

As stars dripped their fears
And the moon dived in a pool

A bed of roses quaked in excitement
A squirrel chased a crippled man

Insects spoke in whispers
Birds belted show tunes

You wrapped your arm around mine
We tripped on providence

When glitter cried from my eyes
You wiped it away with lust

All the haze dissolved in the morning
We saw truth in our faces

I never went there with you again
You arrived, waiting

On my doorstep you sat for me
Roses from a mystical night

Purple and plush and full of your dreams
You wont let me forget you
